Mental health days, four day work weeks, unlimited PTO. Corporations are moving towards cultures that prioritize rest. 

In fitness, there has been a movement towards prioritizing rest. Rest builds muscles, rest fortifies the mind, rest allows the body to allocate resources to recovering from the physical and mental stresses of the days. 

It can be difficult to rest -- productivity generates a dopamine hit* which makes breaking even the positive habit difficult. 

Listen to your body, if it needs rest -- make sure it gets some.

*Dopamine has been linked to the efficacy of rewarding stimuli and the motivation towards engaging in tasks, indicating that productive activities, if perceived as rewarding, could enhance dopamine release and, in turn, motivation and learning (Wise, 2004).
